When conflict arises, our instinct is often to choose between two familiar responses: fight back or walk away. Yet in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus offers a radically different way. Jesus challenges the logic of retaliation and avoidance, inviting us instead into a courageous, creative, and transformative response to conflict. This day of reflection will explore how Jesus’ teaching calls us beyond fight or flight and into a third option - one that resists violence, preserves dignity, and opens the possibility of reconciliation and new life.
